The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department’s guidance after the smoke plume of last week remains, on Sunday morning, the most recent item on its news feed, published Sept. 8. Nothing has been added since. The guidance tells anyone who may have been exposed and is short of breath or having difficulty breathing to seek immediate medical attention, and directs persistent coughing or wheezing, significant shortness of breath, severe headache or dizziness to the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222. The guidance names no source for the smoke.
