Group drops lawsuit over Oregon’s council member appointmentGrupo retira demanda por nombramiento de concejal en Oregon

The citizens group suing Oregon over Council Member Dave Andrus’s appointment dropped its lawsuit Monday, two weeks before trial. Responsible Government 4 Oregon LLC filed a notice Monday morning dismissing all of its claims against the city and council members Andrus, Steve Hornyak, Kathy Pollauf and Dennis Walendzak. The dismissal is without prejudice, which means the group can file the case again. The notice gives no reason, and no settlement was filed. The court closed the case the same day and canceled the Nov. 10 trial.El grupo de ciudadanos que demandaba a Oregon por el nombramiento del concejal Dave Andrus retiró su demanda el lunes, dos semanas antes del juicio. The group said the appointment was arranged privately before council’s public vote in December 2025, breaking Ohio’s Open Meetings Act. The city denied it. Since Oct. 9, a court order had barred Andrus from voting on data-center matters until the judge said otherwise. No order on that ban has been posted since the dismissal.
