Every dollar Wayne County’s general fund took in during the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2024, and what it paid for. The general fund pays for the county’s day-to-day work; roads, juvenile justice and foster care, pandemic-relief money, parks, the Rouge Valley sewage system and the delinquent-tax fund run on their own funds and are not in this picture. Detroit Metro Airport and the mental health network are separate bodies with their own budgets. Wayne County has not yet posted its audit for the year that ended Sept. 30, 2025, so these are its latest audited figures.
